The Old Town (the historic center)
The monument that represents the city in the world is definitely the Arena of Verona, one of the largest Roman amphitheatres in Italy, the third for accuracy after the Colosseo in Rome and the Amphitheatre of Capua.
Passing through Via Mazzini, the shopping street of Verona, one arrives in a few minutes to piazza Erbe which is a few meters from the House of Juliet, the second most popular destination for tourists. It is very famous because it is the place where Romeo met Juliet.
You can not leave the yard of this house with Scaliger origins without taking a picture with the hand on the left breast of the bronze statue of Juliet.
Another important monument to visit is Castelvecchio (the old castle), a mansion that was built at the behest of Can Grande della Scala II and it is characterized by seven towers. The largest one is in the center and it is called "mastio".
